The TANU brand was inspired by an island and village in the Haida Gwaii with a strong spiritual significance to the Haida people and to the developer Edenshaw. The simplicity of the brand gives it a strong cache; it rises above the ordinary and takes flight into the unusual, the unexpected, marking it with a rich spiritual heritage; something the building’s architecture imbues into the design with its selection of natural, tactile materials. Our brand expresses four core features of the project: Tranquil. Amenity-rich. Naturally crafted. Urban Village. The features are expressed in the 4-letter name TANU – sibling forms composing a familial whole.
As the inaugural luxury condominium in Port Credit Village, branding and market positioning stepped gently – we worked to create a sense of community excitement; aligning TANU with the local BIA, establishing a street-front retail Presentation Centre (Edenshaw Experience Centre) and hosting a multitude of community events. Design materials were first-class, rich in production value to communicate the exclusivity of the project and to allow our client to command a premium price.
We also created an exclusive Edenshaw brand – Elevated Living? – a package of standard inclusions to provide a connected, high tech living experience at TANU. Elevated Living includes features like automated door locks, smart thermostats, whole-building WiFi, license plate recognition, enhanced security features and much more.
